10 safety notes

How it was tested: A rigorous 12-month randomized trial of 535 adults with moderate-to-severe dry eye disease found that high-dose omega-3 fish oil supplements provided no meaningful improvement in symptoms or any objective eye measure compared to placebo.

Omega-3 fatty acids improve meibomian gland function and tear film lipid layer quality, reducing evaporative dry eye that exacerbates eye strain. DHA also supports retinal photoreceptor membrane fluidity for efficient visual processing.
