Microneedling / RF Microneedling / Dermapen
A device with tiny sterile needles creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, triggering the wound healing cascade to produce new collagen and elastin. RF (radiofrequency) variants add heat energy for enhanced tightening.
How it works
Controlled micro-punctures initiate hemostasis → inflammation → proliferation → remodeling phases of wound healing. This releases growth factors (TGF-β, PDGF) that stimulate fibroblast activity and neo-collagenesis without significant surface damage.
Reported benefits
- Acne scar reduction
- Fine line and wrinkle improvement
- Skin texture refinement and pore minimization
- Hyperpigmentation reduction
- Hair regrowth stimulation (scalp)
- Stretch mark improvement
- Enhanced absorption of topical serums (PRP, growth factors)
