PDO Threads / Thread Lift / Silhouette Soft

Biodegradable PDO (polydioxanone) sutures are inserted under the skin using a fine needle or cannula. Barbed threads physically reposition sagging tissue while smooth threads create a collagen-stimulating scaffold that rejuvenates skin texture.

How it works

Barbed PDO threads grip sagging tissue and mechanically reposition it superiorly. The foreign body response to PDO insertion triggers controlled inflammation → fibroblast activation → new collagen deposition around each thread. As threads dissolve over 6–8 months, the collagen infrastructure they stimulated remains for up to 18 months. Smooth threads (monofilaments) stimulate neocollagenesis without mechanical lifting.

Reported benefits

  • Non-surgical facelift and jowl repositioning
  • Brow lift without surgery
  • Neck skin tightening
  • Nasolabial fold softening
  • Jawline definition
  • Skin texture and glow improvement (smooth threads)
  • Body skin tightening (knees, arms, abdomen)
