Why we could not verify it: Boron clinical trial evidence concentrates on three areas: osteoarthritis joint pain (a 1994 double-blind pilot study of 6 mg/day for 8 weeks in 20 OA patients by Rex Newnham; not a numbered DOI); rheumatoid arthritis inflammatory markers (calcium fructoborate and sodium tetraborate studies); and primary dysmenorrhea pain (PMID 25906949, a triple-blind RCT of 10 mg/day boron). None of these target back pain or lumbar pain. The PubMed search for 'boron supplementation back pain humans' returned zero results.
