Tested as: The strongest controlled trial (Shim et al. 2014) tested a proprietary 1 g/day blend of pumpkin seed extract plus soy germ extract (branded Cucuflavone) — not pumpkin seed alone, so pumpkin's individual contribution isn't isolated. A separate open-label pilot (Nishimura 2014) tested pumpkin seed oil alone at 10 g/day.
