Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCl)
Your brain needs B6 to make serotonin, dopamine and its other messengers.
Say that in clinical terms
Vitamin B6 is a critical coenzyme in neurotransmitter synthesis including serotonin, dopamine, GABA, and norepinephrine. Adequate B6 supports methylation pathways and homocysteine clearance, both important for cognitive function.

Tested as: Pyridoxine hydrochloride (pyridoxine HCl) 20 mg/day
How much to take
daily with breakfast
25–50 mg
P-5-P is the active form and does not require hepatic conversion. Do not exceed 100mg/day long-term to avoid peripheral neuropathy.
Before you take it
- The supporting RCT (Field 2022) used a high dose that is reported in prior audit notes as approximately 100 mg/day — equal to the NIH UL for adults. The dose recommended by the app (25–50 mg/day) is within a safer range but has not been studied in any identified RCT for the claimed cognitive/brain-fog endpoint; the effect seen in Field 2022 cannot be assumed to extrapolate to the lower dose.
