N-Acetyl Cysteine

N-Acetyl Cysteine, a stable precursor to L-cysteine and the master antioxidant glutathione. Supports liver detoxification, respiratory health, and has mucolytic and anti-inflammatory properties.

What it’s good for

NAC replenishes glutathione, the primary intracellular antioxidant in immune cells. It also thins mucus (mucolytic), reduces viral replication, and modulates NF-kB to optimize inflammatory response without immunosuppression.

Dose: 600–1200 mg

NAC is the rate-limiting precursor for glutathione synthesis, the body's primary endogenous antioxidant. It directly inhibits NF-kB activation, reduces oxidative stress-driven inflammatory cascades, and decreases CRP, IL-6, and TNF-alpha levels.

Dose: 600–1800 mg

BloatingModerate

NAC supports glutathione synthesis which protects gut mucosal lining from oxidative damage. It also has mucolytic properties that help break down biofilm in SIBO, and modulates inflammatory pathways in the GI tract.

Dose: 600–1200 mg

Joint PainModerate

NAC replenishes glutathione in chondrocytes, protecting cartilage from oxidative degradation. It inhibits NF-kB and MMP activity in joint tissues, reduces IL-1beta-induced cartilage catabolism, and may slow osteoarthritic cartilage breakdown.

Dose: 600–1200 mg

AcneModerate

NAC replenishes glutathione, the master antioxidant that neutralizes reactive oxygen species driving acne inflammation. It also reduces NF-kB-mediated inflammatory signaling, decreases sebum lipid peroxidation, and supports liver detoxification pathways.

Dose: 600–1200 mg
